A dedicated mental health professional is needed for a full-time school psychologist position serving students from TK through 8th grade at a single K-8 school site in Oakland, CA. This contract role runs from July 23, 2025, through June 4, 2026, with a 40-hour workweek, five days per week. The opportunity allows you to support student development through comprehensive psychological services within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments for students TK-8th grade to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention support as needed
- Assist with behavior interventions and school-wide mental health initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Active licensure as a School Psychologist with current PPS credential
- Experience working with K-8 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently
