Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking full-time Paraprofessionals to support K-12 students with autism and behavioral challenges in the Vancouver, WA area for the 2024-2025 school year. In this role, you will assist students in local schools, providing hands-on support in the classroom and implementing individualized strategies to foster academic and behavioral growth. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives while working in a collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to K-12 students with autism and behavioral needs
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies
- Monitor and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
- Help implement classroom management techniques under supervision
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with students with autism or behavioral challenges is preferred
- Ability to clear a TB test, fingerprint check, and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting students
- Desire to work collaboratively in a school setting
