Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Development:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Utilize creative teaching methods and resources to engage children and support their learning needs.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and respect.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and manage behavior in a constructive manner.
Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Assess and document each child’s developmental progress and learning achievements.
- Develop individualized plans to support children with diverse learning needs and abilities.
Parent and Guardian Communication:
- Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians through regular communication and updates on their child's progress.
- Address any concerns or questions from families in a professional and supportive manner.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure the classroom and play areas are safe, clean, and organized.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Required to have minimum High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferable.
- Require a Minimum: High School Diploma. Highly Desirable: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- State teaching certification or equivalent, if applicable.
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Required to work full-time from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
