Great opportunity for an experienced program planner. This is a temporary position expected to last 6 months and is full time, 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
· Will be responsible for the total planning, program development and research including reviewing and improving processes and developing standard operating procedures.
· Monitor for program effectiveness and efficiency.
· Study and analyze operational procedures and prepare detailed and comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations.
· To review and evaluate state and federal laws, rules and regulations to ensure compliance with the provisions of these rules, laws and regulations in the plans and proposals.
· Determine the effectiveness of policies, procedures and methods and to initiate alterations as determined by professional review.
· Perform varied public relations duties
· Attend meetings as the representative when the Manager is unavailable.
Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
· A thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of program planning and development.
· Ability to evaluate existing programs and to develop plans for their expansion, modification, or elimination.
· Ability to coordinate current and proposed programs with other departments when necessary.
· Ability to multi-task across multiple topics and databases.
· Education and Experience
· Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, one of the social sciences, or a closely related field.
· Experience gained through employment in a responsible capacity involving program development in a field of human service.
· Or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
· Must be able to pass a background check
