A part-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school in Overland Park, KS, for the uping school year (NSY) on a contract basis. This role focuses on working directly with high school students requiring specialized support. The ideal candidate will have experience in lesson planning and developing tailored educational materials to meet diverse student needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to high school students with special education needs.
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and educational materials.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure pliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to optimize learning outes.
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Low Incidence Special Education License.
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably high school age.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and material development for special education.
- Ability to work part-time on a flexible schedule as required.
