Our client is seeking a Principal Enterprise Software Technical Writer with strong experience in the MadCap Flare tool to develop and deliver high-quality documentation for our enterprise software products. This role requires deep technical understanding, and strategic content planning to drive documentation excellence across our software platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product company management, and support to ensure our customers, and internal teams have access to clear, accurate, and usable technical content.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of technical documentation with MadCap Flare for enterprise software platforms.
  • Write and maintain user guides, integration guides, tutorials, installation manuals, and release notes for technical audiences.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to understand new features and products and translate them into clear documentation.
  • Enforce documentation best practices, style guides, and content governance models.
  • Conduct peer reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure content accuracy and usability.
  • Advocate for the user by championing clarity, usability, and accessibility in all technical content.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the documentation portal and search experience.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical writing for enterprise software products, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with engineering and product teams.
  • Expertise in authoring tools and documentation MadCap Flare framework.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and build systems like Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Experience with developer portals, knowledge bases, and content design principles is a plus.
