Reports to: Chief Executive Officer –Executive Director and/or Vice President of Operations

General Responsibilities:

  1. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and sits on the Management Team of the YMCA.
  2. Working for the CEO implements the current association-wide strategic plan that identifies short- and long-term objectives and requirements.
  3. Implements core YMCA values, elite customer service, programs and mission; develops and maintains effective communication with CEO
  4. Initiates, establishes, develops, and manages collaborative relationships with key business, other non-profits and governmental partners; performs outreach to business and community to gain support for the organization.
  5. Oversees the financial management of the Branch by coordinating annual budgetary planning and tracking, monitoring budgets, managing financial statements and reconciliations and ensures financial stability of the branch.
  6. Identifies resource needs and seeks additional project funding; develops foundation grants to support programs, general operating expenses, and special projects.
  7. Cultivates relations with donors, foundations, and corporations for the Branch they are in unison with the YMCA’s larger funding needs and plan.
  8. Supports, attends and promotes all regional fundraising events and efforts.
  9. Oversees program evaluation tools, working with key leaders to improve the overall quality of programming and development.
  10. Works with the Marketing Director to market all branch and regional programs and events.
  11. Hires, motivates, develops, and supervises program, maintenance, director on duty and other part-time staff and consultants/trainers; evaluates staff members and develops staff potential.
  12. Ensures the safety and integrity of the building are maintained to the highest standards. Ensures outstanding customer/member service and meet all best practice standards.
  13. Implements character development and the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all programs and all aspects of the branch operations.
  14. Directs the annual sustaining membership campaign with Regional Membership director.
  15. Directs staff and volunteers on implementation of membership campaigns.
  16. Directs staff and volunteers in the development of program and membership enrollment strategies.
  17. Coordinates staff and volunteer development, which includes recruitment, team building, training, evaluation, recognition, termination, etc.
  18. Directs staff leadership of all program departments .
  19. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery.
  20. Works with Marketing Team on all public relations and marketing efforts for all operations of the branch.
  21. Prepare statistical, analytical, and narrative reports regarding programs and operations of the branch as needed.
  22. Coordinate management and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
  23. Ensures the highest standard of safety, customer service, membership sales and retention.


EFFECT ON END RESULT:

The Branch Executive is responsible for the overall success of the branch and its operating units. This position is primarily concerned with ensuring quality programs and building positive long-term relationships with members. This branch is viewed as a resource to the total association as it strives to meet its mission and goals. Therefore, successful fulfillment of this position should be measured by:

  1. Transition the membership, programs and services to the renovated YMCA in a strategic, seamless system designed to grow and strengthen membership.
  2. Continued growth of the budget, membership, and program enrollment.
  3. Heavy focus on membership retention and program retention.
  4. Increased utilization of volunteers in YMCA programs.
  5. Increased diversity in membership of team leaders and members to match the demographics of the community involvement.
  6. Achievement of branch operating objectives.




Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and significant management experience of full and part-time staff

· YMCA Director Status (required/preferred.)

· Proven experience growing an organization.

· Commitment to excellence and high standards

· Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates

· Proven leadership and business acumen skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Excellent presentation skills

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Salary Details:

Full Time

$65,000 - $85,000 annual salary

This position is specifically for the Rome Family YMCA branch of the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley.
