K-2 Literacy Assessment Hand Scoring RaterEducation & Technology $15.00 per hourContract July 30th-September 15thMonday-Friday, Flexible HoursRemoteWhat the position offers:

  • Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during the project period
  • Do not have strict hours yet, but will likely allow some variation in work hours except for initiation and training sessions
  • Can earn performance-based incentives up to $150/week based on accuracy and productivity
  • Participate in paid training sessions and pass qualification assessments

What you’ll be doing:

  • Evaluate and score student verbal responses in accordance with provided scoring rubrics
  • Apply scoring guidelines consistently and accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security throughout the scoring process
  • Collaborate with team leaders and fellow scorers to ensure scoring consistency
  • Meet established accuracy and productivity standards
  • Use scoring platform and communication tools effectively

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with K-2 student population
  • Familiarity with early language development and reading comprehension acquisition
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience with K–2 education, early childhood development, or literacy instruction preferred
  • Understanding of language development and verbal communication in young children
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scoring protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during the project period
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations and Microsoft applications (e.g., Teams, Outlook)
  • Access to a mobile device with texting capabilities for secure login via Microsoft Authenticator
