We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Wellness Director to lead our wellness initiatives and cultivate a culture of health and wellness.
The Wellness Director will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive wellness programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles for employees and stakeholders. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in wellness programming, health education, and community outreach. The Wellness Director will collaborate with various departments to ensure that wellness initiatives align with organizational goals and support employee engagement and productivity.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for wellness programming that aligns with organizational objectives and addresses the needs of employees.
- Design, implement, and evaluate wellness programs, workshops, and activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental health, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and work-life balance.
- Conduct assessments to identify wellness needs and interests among employees and the community; use data to guide program development and enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR and management to promote wellness initiatives, facilitate employee committees, and enhance employee engagement.
- Develop training materials, resources, and communication strategies to promote wellness programs and initiatives across the organization.
- Serve as a wellness resource, providing guidance and support to individuals and teams around health-related topics, behavior change, and program participation.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and impact; prepare reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders to showcase outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Foster partnerships with external health organizations, community agencies, and wellness professionals to expand program offerings and access to resources.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the field of health and wellness and adapt programs accordingly.
- Lead wellness committee meetings, facilitate workshops, and coordinate health fairs and other wellness events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in health promotion, wellness programming, or a related field; experience in a leadership role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of wellness principles, motivational techniques, and behavior change strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate wellness initiatives effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use metrics to inform decision-making and program improvements.
- Certifications related to wellness, health coaching, or fitness (e.g., CHWC, CHC, ACSM, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
