A full-time school psychologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting located in Phoenix, AZ. This contract role focuses on providing specialized psychological services to elementary students, supporting their academic and social-emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 30-50 initial psychological evaluations annually to assess student needs
- Perform approximately 10 re-evaluations to monitor student progress and update plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in the EPP (Educational Placement Program) to support students requiring specialized instruction or services
- Provide consultation and counseling to address behavioral and emotional challenges impacting learning
- Maintain accurate documentation consistent with district and legal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in school settings
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including administering standardized psychological tests
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
