This role involves working within an engaging environment focused on fostering the well-being and academic success of approximately 1,000 elementary school students, specifically catering to the 6th to 8th-grade age group.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification in School Psychology
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, particularly with middle school students
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, particularly with reevaluations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff
Location:
- Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for a caseload of about 45 students
- Facilitate domain and eligibility meetings, as well as problem-solving (MTSS) meetings
- Develop and implement intervention plans based on assessment results
- Provide consultation to teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs and interventions
- Run small groups and individual sessions, tailored to student interests and needs
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
