Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions with school districts in the Bayard, New Mexico area for the upcoming school year. We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional educational support to students with diverse learning needs.
Details:
- Location: Bayard, NM
- Full Time: 30 hours per week
- Caseload: Middle School caseload, conducting testing and evaluations. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience.
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid New Mexico teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
- Demonstrated understanding of IDEA and IEP compliance.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student progress
- Deliver differentiated instruction and classroom modifications as outlined in students' IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all IDEA and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success
