Summary

Footprints Learning Center of Fountain Inn is a licensed, faith-based childcare center dedicated to nurturing children spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. We proudly offer South Carolina's First Steps 4K program, providing high-quality early education that prepares children for success in kindergarten and beyond.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced 4K First Steps Lead Teacher to join our team and lead a dynamic classroom of 4-year-olds in a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Duties

• Develop and deliver daily lesson plans that meet SC First Steps 4K standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Monitor and assess each child’s progress, maintaining accurate documentation
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student development
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and center leadership
• Maintain compliance with state licensing, First Steps, and center policies
• Attend required trainings and professional development sessions

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or higher (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Must meet SC First Steps teacher credentialing requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a licensed childcare or early education program
• Strong knowledge of child development and SC Early Learning Standards
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to maintain records and use child assessment tools effectively
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
