A full-time School Psychologist position is available for a leave of absence covering October through March at an elementary school serving grades TK-6 in Sacramento, CA. This on-site contract role offers 35 hours per week, focusing on supporting both general and special education populations.
Key responsibilities include conducting approximately 8-10 psychological assessments throughout the assignment period, delivering direct services to 4 students receiving psychological support, and collaborating with staff to address student needs. The school has three severe Special Day Classes (SDC) with a bined total of up to 24 students, requiring specialized knowledge and experience in working with diverse learners.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid certification or licensure for School Psychology
- Experience conducting assessments and delivering psychological services in an elementary school setting
- Ability to work effectively with students in severe Special Day Classes
- Strong munication and collaboration skills with educators and parents
- Knowledge of behavioral interventions and special education processes
