An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide crucial support as a School Psychologist covering a three-month maternity leave. This contract position is situated in a K-12 educational environment and will commence in the Fall, focusing on serving an 800-student high school.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid state licensure or certification in School Psychology
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in high school settings
- Strong evaluation and assessment skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
Location:
- Springfield, MA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for approximately eight students per month
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student needs
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans
- Provide guidance on psychological practices and interventions within the school
- Engage in additional school duties as required to enhance the educational environment
