Job Description

The Ford Agency has partnered with one of the DC area's most prestigious private schools in its search for a temporary Operations Manager to provide direct support to the High School Administration and Principal. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have previous administrative experience, and knows how to navigate an executive office with diplomacy and confidentiality. This is a great opportunity for someone who is adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who can shift priorities as needed!


Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in planning and executing events
  • Manage calendars for the office and the Principal, school events and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Coordinate communications for upcoming events and publish weekly newsletter
  • Screen and direct calls or written inquiries as needed
  • Draft and edit correspondence on behalf of the Principal
  • Coordinate logistics for parent and staff meetings


Qualifications Include:

  • 3+ years of administrative experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Apps (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive)
  • Previous experience in a school environment preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Highly professional demeanor and ability to interact with broad range of individuals


Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
