This is a rare opportunity for a proven professional to design, build, and lead a training program that strengthens skills, deepens knowledge, fosters excellence, and impacts lives across our 1,350 employee-owners. Your work will directly support how Mead Lumber engages with customers, builders, vendors, and each other — all while honoring the traditions that have made us a leader in the LBM industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess organizational training needs across all departments and locations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, actionable Training Roadmap aligned with company goals.
  • Create and manage engaging, industry-specific training programs and content.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to turn technical expertise into practical, accessible learning solutions.
  • Deliver effective and inspiring training sessions, both live and virtual.
  • Support the development and delivery of safety training in coordination with HR and Operations to reinforce Mead’s strong safety culture and compliance across all locations.
  • Administer and maintain training records in UKG’s Learning Management System (LMS), while maximizing the capabilities the system.
  • Track training participation, monitor completion rates, and generate reports to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Help facilitate onboarding and safety training programs in partnership with HR and Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in training coordination, instructional design, or employee development.
  • Expertise with e-learning platforms and tools, such as Articulate.
  • Proven ability to create and deliver training content in various formats (written, visual, and digital).
  • Strong strategic planning abilities, combined with a hands-on approach to implementation.
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working with UKG’s Learning Management System (LMS) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety training standards or willing to learn, is a plus.

Location: This position is an on-site position located at either of our Shared Services Office in Columbus or Omaha, NE.
