CMC is seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator on a part-time or contract basis to help lead our workforce development efforts across field and office teams. This role supports the creation, delivery, and coordination of internal training programs with a strong emphasis on commercial construction topics, technical certifications, and employee growth.



The ideal candidate brings experience in the construction industry, strong communication skills, and hands-on familiarity with e-learning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).






Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the rollout of internal training modules related to construction (e.g. safety, field leadership, PM skills, onboarding)
  • Organize and schedule instructor-led and virtual training events
  • Assist subject matter experts in translating construction and technical content into professional learning materials (slide decks, video scripts, SCORM modules, quizzes)
  • Manage content on TalentLMS, including uploading courses, enrolling users, monitoring completion data, and generating reports
  • Maintain a centralized training calendar and organize all learning logistics (communication, attendance, evaluations)
  • Collect and analyze feedback on training programs to continuously improve delivery and effectiveness
  • Support compliance with training requirements, safety certifications, and continuing education documentation
  • Help build and manage a digital library of SOPs, onboarding packets, and recorded sessions



Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in learning & development, HR, training coordination, or project support
  • Direct experience in the commercial construction industry is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms (especially TalentLMS), PowerPoint, and course authoring tools (SCORM, Articulate, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex, technical content
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and a passion for helping others learn and grow



Schedule & Compensation:


  • Schedule: 1020 hours per week
  • Compensation: Hourly or flat-rate contract, based on experience
  • Duration: 612 month contract with potential for extension or full-time placement
