We are looking for an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to join our client's Training & Learning team in Northville, Michigan. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for developing innovative instructional materials and designing effective training programs tailored to meet organizational needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in instructional design while collaborating with subject matter experts to create engaging learning experiences. This is an onsite 4 day per week job, offering short-term and long-term commitment, depending on the person. This is a 40 hour per week role focused on both eLearning/Instructional Design and Graphic Design.
Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive instructional materials, including participant guides, handouts, and job aids, to support various training programs.
• Design and implement interactive e-learning modules and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) using industry-standard tools.
• Create dynamic presentation materials to enhance engagement and facilitate effective learning.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by assessing learning outcomes and measuring behavioral changes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
• Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create impactful learning solutions.
• Support the Marketing & HR team with other Graphic Design projects using Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Utilize tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Learning Management Systems to deliver high-quality training experiences.
• Manage projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance training effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instructional Designer or Graphic Designer who has also worked on training modules.
• Proficiency in e-learning platforms such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Vyond.
• Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies along with general graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proven ability to create engaging and interactive learning content.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and other training software.
• Demonstrated ability to execute projects within tight timeframes while ensuring quality and sustainability. Ability to work onsite 4-5 days per week in Northville office.
