The Position:
Per Diem positions available for Substitute Instructional Assistants in the Childcare program of non-profit agency in Ocean Township. Days and hours are flexible Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 6:00 pm. Experience with young children and children with special needs preferred. High school diploma required. CDA preferred or will train.
The Location:
LADACIN is based in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Our locations are in beautiful natural surroundings. This location is in Ocean, NJ.

Duties

Assist group leaders, as directed, in implementing activities to achieve developmentally appropriate milestones.
• Provide a safe environment that meets the needs of the individual child and his/her stage of development.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the Transdisciplinary and Personal Assistant model.
• Provide personal assistance as directed and or scheduled, including toilet learning, diapering, feeding and primary caregiving.
• Assist in the maintenance of area and materials: request supplies, equipment, maintenance and repair, rotation and cleaning of materials.
• Assist with the maintenance of records as assigned, including daily parent communication, developmental checklists and anecdotal records as needed.
• Demonstrate positive guidance and discipline that promotes positive staff/child interactions.
• Continue professional improvement through education, attendance at conferences, workshops, in-service trainings, committees, and additional events.
• Perform job activities that may involve moderate to strenuous activity including lifting, repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, and stooping.
• Cooperate fully with all licensing and accrediting operations of respective funding sources including any inspections or investigations.
• Comply with Agency Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with young children and children with special needs preferred.
