Job Summary
The LMS Instructional Design Specialist plays a vital role in developing engaging, consistent, and evidence-based training materials for the TrueBuild® platform. Using current instructional design principles and company styling standards, this role will support internal teams and external partners with high-quality learning content, assessments, documentation, and video-based training.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain instructional content across various formats (video, print, LMS modules, etc.)
- Support assessment creation based on team needs and learning objectives
- Develop visual instructional aids using approved tools and templates
- Create and maintain training procedure manuals, guides, and course content
- Gain working knowledge of relevant industry concepts, software, and workflows to better inform training development
- Draft and publish software Release Notes and documentation in the Eagle Metal system
- Design and produce concise, high-impact training videos and visual content
- Maintain an organized and current online training video library
- Report regularly on project progress and task completion to functional and project leadership
- Support other training and documentation tasks as assigned
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, attending virtual meetings, and working on a computer
· Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
· Ability to clearly communicate via phone, video, and in-person interactions
· Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, or kneel as necessary
· May be required to lift, carry, or move items up to 15 pounds (e.g., training materials, equipment)
· Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods and maintain attention to detail
· Occasional travel may be required to attend team meetings, training sessions, or visit job sites (up to 10%)

Requirements:
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical thinking and instructional design skills
- Knowledge of assessment development and data analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
- Familiarity with instructional design frameworks such as Backwards Design
- Experience with LMS platforms, such as Moodle or similar (preferred)
- Proficiency with tools like Vyond, Camtasia, SketchWorks, and Adobe RoboHelp (preferred)
- Ability to learn and work within Eagle Metal’s proprietary management and design software, including TrueBuild® and EMS
- Technical understanding of component manufacturing operations and systems (preferred)
