Our client is a non-profit organization. They seek a temp Career Advisor/Trainer to join their Queens, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Complete intake, eligibility screening, and job readiness assessments with participants
  • Oversee barrier removal before and after job placement, ensuring participants are supported
  • Develop and implement individualized employment service plans for participants
  • Meet with participants, ensuring continuous progression towards their professional goals
  • Provide support to clients during their job search efforts and higher education applications
  • Maintain case notes, update attendance logs, submit weekly reports, and perform other tasks
  • Design workforce development and job readiness workshops/trainings for adult learners
  • Prepare lesson plans, develop curriculum, create presentations, and brainstorm new topics
  • Work with the Case Manager and Sales Team to tailor offerings to client needs and interests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social services
  • 1-3 years of social services experience
  • Background teaching or training is a plus
  • Passion for serving disadvantaged individuals
  • Understanding of workforce development and employment services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skilled in Salesforce and SharePoint preferred
