Assistant Teacher – Exploring Preschool (Toddlers) at Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Education


At Yellow Brick Road, we know that the toddler years are full of energy, curiosity, and growth. Our Exploring Preschool classrooms are designed to help little ones gain independence, develop social skills, and discover the world through play—and we need YOU to make it happen!


We’re looking for a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to join our toddler team. This role is perfect for someone who loves helping children explore, learn, and achieve new milestones every day. What You’ll Do

  • Support the Lead Teacher in creating a fun, safe, and structured classroom environment
  • Assist with implementing daily activities that spark curiosity and encourage independence
  • Supervise play, guide positive behavior, and foster social-emotional skills
  • Help with routines like diapering, toileting, meals, and transitions
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and safe at all times
  • Use technology to share daily updates and photos with families
  • Build warm, positive relationships with children, parents, and your teaching team

Requirements:What You Bring

  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude
  • Experience working with toddlers (preferred, but not required)
  • Ability to multitask in a busy classroom
  • Willingness to learn and grow as part of a team
  • Meets state requirements for Assistant Teachers
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) along with annual trainings
  • Maintain active supervision at all times within sight and sound.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and sit and stand easily or for long periods of time
