Summary

We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and energetic Lead Daycare Teacher to join our in-home daycare team. As the lead caregiver and educator, you will play a key role in providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where young children can grow, learn, and thrive. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys creating a warm, home-like atmosphere while implementing engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.

We are licensed to care for 6 children at a time.
Hours we are looking to fill 12-6PM Monday through Friday occasionally covering full days for the current lead teacher for emergencies / unforeseen circumstances

Duties

Plan and lead daily educational and play-based activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with state licensing requirements
Provide attentive care and supervision for children at all times (6 children at a time)
Foster strong, positive relationships with children and their families
Manage routines including meals, naps, diapering, and potty training as needed
Document daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns
Support the overall operation of the in-home daycare, including light cleaning and meal prep

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience in early childhood education or childcare
CDA or Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Negative TB test (or willingness to obtain)
Childcare Basics Training (or willingness to obtain)
Safe Sleep Training (or willingness to obtain)
Bloodborne Pathogens Training (or willingness to obtain)
HS Diploma / GED
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Nurturing patient, and enthusiastic personality

Nice To Haves

Fun bubbly personality
Responsible, trustworthy, compassion, empathy nurturing
Washington State Initial Certificate, equivalent to 12 credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
