This role supports middle and high school students with moderate disabilities, using a science-based curriculum in a therapeutic, trauma-informed school environment. You'll be part of a collaborative team deeply committed to academic growth and emotional support. What You’ll Do
- Teach science-based content aligned with state standards to students in grades 5–12 with moderate disabilities
- Develop and implement IEPs with input from families and clinical teams
- Use differentiated, data-informed instructional methods to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Support students with behavioral and emotional regulation within a structured, supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teaching teams, clinicians, and support staff to create a safe, inclusive space
- Engage in school events, team meetings, and professional development
Experience You’ll Need
- Active Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Disabilities 5–12
- Experience teaching middle and/or high school students
- Comfort with science curriculum delivery in special education settings
- Background working with students with emotional or behavioral challenges
- Strong collaboration skills and commitment to trauma-informed educational practices
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree a plus
