Summary: The Art Teacher/Educator is responsible for ensuring the quality of education, for all Residents within the Worden Tabor Centers program. The Educators are directly accountable for curriculum development and the delivery of high-quality instruction. Educators ensure that the Residents needs and goals are met, along with the center's goals. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Minimum Professional Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be passionate about art, possess strong teaching skills, and be able to inspire students artistic growth.
Education: Bachelors degree preferred in Art Education or related field and several years of teaching experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Artistic Skills: Proven artistic skills and experience in various art mediums and techniques.
Instructional Skills: Strong instructional skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and provide effective feedback.
Classroom Management: Ability to manage a classroom environment and maintain student safety.
Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with adults with developmental disabilities.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and learning.
Desired attributes: A genuine passion for art and a desire to inspire students creativity. The ability to work with Residents of varying abilities and learning styles. A positive and encouraging attitude towards Residents and the learning environment.
Clearance requirements: Ability to meet all clearance requirements including: obtaining a level one fingerprint clearance card, passing an online background check, passing a pre-employment drug screen and physical, reference check, verification that the individual is not listed on the AZ Adult Protective Services Registry, and compliance with vaccination requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
Serve on the Education Team
Program Development
o Responsibility for working in collaboration with other staff members to develop a customized educational plan for each Resident that is monitored, measured, and evaluated quarterly
o Develops course/class schedules for the Residents.
Instruction & Teaching
o Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Resident goals
o Instruct Residents in various art techniques, including drawing, painting, and multimedia art
o Foster an environment that encourages creative expression
o Develops and coordinates the implementation of learning activities that Residents can practice or complete at home, on the Ranch, or in the community between courses in the Worden Tabor Center
Goal Attainment & Evaluation
o Establishes good communication cross-functionally regarding the learning goals and objectives for each Resident resulting in the maximization of goal achievement
o Develops Resident Achievement records and Attendance records for each Resident
Manage art supplies, materials, and equipment
Develops a master schedule for utilizing the resources of the Learning Center and the time and talents of staff and/or volunteers
Maintains regular communication cross-functionally and/or with volunteers
Other duties as assigned by management
