A certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) is needed for a fully virtual position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator. This role is designed for the 20252026 school year, allowing you to impact students while working from home.
Location: Derby, KS (Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging virtual instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Deliver direct services as well as consultative support to enhance student learning.
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service providers.
Qualifications:
- Active or eligible Kansas DHH teaching license.
- Prior experience with virtual instruction.
- Strong understanding of IEP implementation and service delivery.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Proficient in using virtual platforms and assistive technology.
