The Village Early Learning Center is a Reggio-Emilia inspired, NAEYC accredited school for young learners located in Brandon, Florida. We are an established center that has been open for over 20 years. The campus consists of two buildings, lots of age-appropriate playgrounds, beautiful gardens and outdoor classrooms, a dedicated art room, state-of-the-art security, and the finest professional teaching team in the area. Who Are We Looking For?

As the Executive Principal, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the overall management and operation of our two-buildings school campus. Working closely with the entire staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring the provision of a safe and enriching environment for children under our care. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a passion for childcare, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead in effective operation and management of the school with 250+ children.
  • Oversee the implementation of the curriculum, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records, including children's attendance, staff schedules, and other administrative documents.
  • Collaborate with parents, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and building strong relationships with families.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing appropriate measures.
  • Execute staff meetings, professional development activities, and other related events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes children's growth, learning, and development.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Age: Be a minimum of 21 years old.
  • Certification & Education: FL Director's Credential with VPK endorsement.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in an administrative role in a licensed childcare facility, especially in a Principal role.
    • Proven experience leading a high-utilization early childhood program (preferably 150+ children).
    • Expertise in program oversight, team leadership, compliance, and family engagement.
  • Shift: Ability to work a rotating shift from 6:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday.
