A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available within a dynamic educational setting serving students in grades 5-12, primarily focusing on middle school (grades 6-8) with some opportunities at the elementary level. This role involves direct service delivery to a caseload of approximately 16 students along with case management responsibilities, including documentation and supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction through a combination of push-in inclusion support and pull-out resource or small group interventions.
- Managing a full caseload by providing direct services to students on a flexible schedule: typically 2-3 days on campus with 1-2 days remote for documentation and case management, or up to 5 days in person if preferred.
- Writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and maintaining compliance through accurate, timely documentation.
- Administering testing accommodations and coordinating additional services such as speech therapy supervision.
- Completing quarterly progress reports to monitor and communicate student growth effectively.
- Navigating a walking campus environment with transitions between multiple buildings to meet student needs.
- Utilizing the SAMEGOAL system for document writing and management, with training provided if unfamiliar.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Prior experience working with students in grades 5-12, especially middle school.
- Strong skills in case management, documentation, and individualized instruction.
- Flexibility and adaptability in delivering services both in-person and remotely.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and support student success.
Location: On-site position located in Dublin, Ohio.
This is a contract position for the current school year with potential extension into the 2025-2026 academic year. The priority is ensuring students receive consistent support and data-driven services to foster their educational progress.
