Position: Full-Time Contract
Pay:Starting at $50 an Hour

Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified and compassionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) for a full-time position within a supportive school district in Seattle, WA for the 20252026 school year.

Typical Job Duties:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs

  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to ensure inclusive access

  • Support communication methods based on student needs (ASL, cued speech, spoken language)

  • Adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility

  • Advocate for and support the use of assistive listening and amplification devices

  • Communicate with families and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or a related field

  • Valid Washington State teaching certification with DHH endorsement

  • Proficiency in ASL or other communication methods as appropriate

  • Knowledge of IDEA and experience developing and implementing IEPs

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

  • Prior school-based experience preferred
