Pay:Starting at $50 an Hour
Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified and compassionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) for a full-time position within a supportive school district in Seattle, WA for the 20252026 school year.

Typical Job Duties:

Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs

Collaborate with general and special education staff to ensure inclusive access

Support communication methods based on student needs (ASL, cued speech, spoken language)

Adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility

Advocate for and support the use of assistive listening and amplification devices

Communicate with families and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or a related field

Valid Washington State teaching certification with DHH endorsement

Proficiency in ASL or other communication methods as appropriate

Knowledge of IDEA and experience developing and implementing IEPs

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Prior school-based experience preferred
