Job Title: Onsite School Psychologist
Location: Lenawee School District, Adrian, MI
Position Overview
Lenawee School District in Adrian, Michigan is seeking a dedicated and skilled Onsite School Psychologist to support the emotional, academic, and behavioral success of students across the district. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving outcomes for students, with an emphasis on those requiring special education services. This position plays a vital role in performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and collaborating with IEP Teams to ensure appropriate decisions are made regarding student eligibility, placement, and support strategies.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education consideration.

Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families as part of a multidisciplinary team to interpret evaluation results and recommend appropriate interventions or placement decisions.

Provide data-driven insights to help inform IEP (Individualized Education Program) Team decisions in compliance with federal and state guidelines.

Observe students in various educational settings and provide behavioral consultation and recommendations.

Offer support in developing academic and behavioral interventions aligned with curriculum and school-wide practices.

Assist staff in implementing strategies to support diverse learning needs within the general education environment.

Serve as a resource and advocate for students, parents, and staff on issues related to learning, behavior, and mental health.
Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children.

Strong knowledge and current skills in multidisciplinary assessment procedures.

Effective, collaborative professional style that supports the general education environment and inclusive practices.

Knowledge of curriculum development, academic interventions, and behavioral support strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience working directly with students receiving Special Education services.

Proven ability to contribute to teams supporting diverse learners and educational settings.
Licensure Requirements
Candidates must hold one of the following credentials:

A valid Michigan School Psychologist license (Full License), OR
-
A Temporary or Full Approval by the Michigan Department of Education as a School Psychologist
Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Contract dates: August 11, 2025, through June 10, 2026

School year begins on August 18, 2025
