We are seeking an experienced& Winding Supervisor to oversee production operations for a leading manufacturer in Indianapolis, IN. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with expertise in motor winding, AC/DC assembly, and team management. You will be responsible for driving quality control, production efficiency, and team training in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and mentor a team of winders while actively participating in daily winding operations.

Oversee production schedules, quality control, and safety standards in the winding department.

Inspect, assemble, and test AC/DC motors, generators, coils, armatures, and related components.

Perform hands-on tasks including brazing, soldering, welding, and coil fabrication.

Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and purchasing to optimize workflow and material availability.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace and provide remote customer support as needed.

Collaborate with satellite locations and internal teams to balance workloads effectively.
Must-Have Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).

3–5 years of experience in winding operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Strong understanding of motor winding techniques, materials, and EASA standards.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Preferred Experience:

Technical certifications in winding, electrical systems, or mechanical maintenance.

Experience with remote support and satellite production coordination.

Exposure to process improvement initiatives and safety management.
