A K-12 educational institution in Joliet, IL, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full school year contract. This role focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic and personal growth in an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with students unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and ply with all relevant educational regulations and standards
- Provide support to students in both group and one-on-one settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to use a variety of instructional techniques and technology to enhance learning
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a student-centered approach
