A full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist servicing a K-12 student population near Cairo, GA. This contract position spans from July 15, 2025, through May 22, 2026, with an expected workload of 32.5 to 35 hours per week. The role is ideal for newly certified or experienced professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services to students to promote mental health and well-being
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Assist with crisis intervention and develop strategies to improve school climate
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred but not required for newly certified candidates
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and maintain detailed documentation
