Job DescriptionSalary: $43,000-$55,000 annually (FT)

Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. We are an influential school of collaborators, innovators, and explorers grounded in Christian faith, empowering co-creators of tomorrow. MCA has an opening for a part-time to full-time elementary library & literacy teacher in the lower school for the 2025-2026 school year.

Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned)

• 
  Prepares course objectives and lesson plans, following curriculum guidelines and any requirements or standards of the state and MCA
• 
  Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to class
• Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations
• 
  Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results
• 
  Maintains order inside the classroom and other spaces on campus, as well as off-site school-sponsored activities
• 
  Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise
• 
  Communicate students' academic progress and behavior with parents
• 
  Keeps attendance and grade records as required by MCA

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Education

Desired License: Minnesota state teaching license in K-8 Education
