Registrar
Position Summary:
Registrars are the first point of contact for patients of Access Community Health Centers, assisting primarily via phone in a centralized call center located within the administrative offices. This role involves registering and scheduling appointments, entering and verifying patient demographics and insurance information, routing messages to clinic staff, and supporting interdepartmental workflows as needed.
Registrars must ensure consistency in processes while delivering exceptional patient experiences through compassionate and professional interactions. Strong critical thinking, multitasking abilities, comfortable using computer and web applications, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Start Date is July 28th
Desired candidate would have the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using a personal computer with strong keyboarding and typing skills
- Ability to think critically and multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced call center environment
Desired Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of customer service, telephone, or reception experience
- Previous experience scheduling or registering medical/dental appointments
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Experience with EPIC or other electronic health record (EHR) systems
Compensation and Benefits:
Our total compensation package includes competitive wages, plus a full range of attractive benefits for regular full and part time staff working a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Compensation starts at $20.00 and may be adjusted according to experience.
1.0 FTE and schedule (Monday-Friday, Four 9-hour work days: 8:00am-5:00pm, and 1 half day)
