Develops, acquires, revises, coordinates, and implements staff academic professional learning programs to maximize the professional and personal growth of the workforce to meet the needs of persons served and their families.

Role and Responsibilities

§ Assist in the development of professional learning programs, workshops, and seminars by contributing ideas, resources, and materials.

§ Coordinate logistics for professional learning events, including scheduling, venue booking, catering, and equipment setup.

§ Communicate with participants, presenters, and stakeholders to provide information about professional learning opportunities, schedules, and requirements.

§ Manage the registration and enrollment process for professional learning activities, including tracking attendance and maintaining participant records.

§ Organize and distribute resources, materials, and technology tools needed for professional learning sessions.

§ Assist in collecting and organizing data related to participant feedback, program evaluations, and performance metrics.

§ Provide technical support and training to participants on using technology platforms and tools for virtual or blended learning experiences.

§ Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to coordinate joint professional learning initiatives or share resources and best practices.

§ Maintain accurate documentation of professional learning activities, including agendas, presentations, and evaluation reports.

§ Provide support and assistance to participants before, during, and after professional learning events.

§ Assist in conducting evaluations of professional learning programs and activities, including collecting feedback from participants and synthesizing data for analysis.

§ Assist in tracking expenses and monitoring the budget for professional learning initiatives, ensuring that expenditures are within allocated funds.

§ Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices, trends, and technologies in the field of professional learning and development.

§ Perform administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining databases, and coordinating meetings related to professional learning initiatives.

§ Ensure the quality and effectiveness of professional learning activities by implementing feedback mechanisms and making adjustments as needed.

§ Assist in the design and develop professional learning curriculum, resources, and materials tailored to the needs of educators or professionals.

§ Coordinate the delivery of professional learning programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences, ensuring high-quality instruction and engagement.

§ Provide instructional leadership by modeling effective teaching practices, coaching educators, and facilitating professional learning communities.

§ Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers, as well as external partners such as educational institutions, professional organizations, and consultants.

§ Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in professional learning, and integrate this knowledge into program design and delivery.

§ Explore and leverage technology tools and platforms to enhance the delivery and accessibility of professional learning experiences.

§ Ensure that professional learning programs are culturally responsive and inclusive, recognizing the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and needs of participants.

§ Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing professional learning activities, including issues related to confidentiality and intellectual property.

§ Develops, revises, coordinates, and implements staff academic training programs; ensuring compliance with training requirements set by applicable funding sources, regulatory and accreditation agencies. Identifies/recommends/facilitates training programs based on skills and criteria for career advancement of staff within the Agency, in conjunction with other administrative staff.

§ Establishes and maintains individual training records for all staff, ensuring that such files meet regulations for OSHA and other Federal, State, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies.

§ Secures and coordinates external educational, job-related skills training (i.e., workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.) on an on-going basis to enhance overall job knowledge and to keep staff abreast of new approaches and technologies in the field of management and developmental disabilities.

§ Functions as instructor and secure internal/external instructors for Agency sponsored training.

§ Assist in the preparedness of OSHA, Federal, State, and other regulatory and accreditation agencies.

§ Maintains all staff development records.

§ Prepares accurate training reports.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

§ Bachelor's degree in education/professional learning, instructional design or related field required.

§ Professional Experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in education, social service, or professional learning

§ Two years of professional or management work experience and one year working with persons with developmental disabilities.

§ Certified First Aid/C.P.R. Trainer


Preferred Skills

§ Instructional Design Knowledge

§ Editing and proof readings skills

§ Knowledge of AI tools for content creation tools (i.e. OwlyWriter, ChatGPT, Dall-E, Midjourney, Jasper AI, Canva, Synthesia,Murf, etc.)

§ Knowledge of current and best practice for eLearning

§ Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

§ Experience in audio/narration editing.

§ Ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time.

§ Excellent customer service Skills

Hours: Part-time 30/week with 1 day remote
