Qualifications:
- New York State certification as a school counselor

Responsibilities:
- Provide academic guidance to students, assisting with course selection and ensuring graduation requirements are met
- Support college and career counseling efforts, helping students navigate applications and explore career options
- Offer personal and social development counseling, addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, and peer relationships
- Respond to crises and provide intervention support for bullying, substance abuse, and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with educators and parents to create and implement IEPs for students with special needs
- Mediate conflicts and promote positive relationships within the school community
- Organize workshops and seminars on relevant topics such as mental health and study skills
- Analyze student data to identify trends and inform educational strategies
- Advocate for student needs and coordinate with external agencies for additional support
