Looking for your next meaningful role in education? A school district in Bayboro, NC is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead a K2 adaptive classroom for the upcoming school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a tight-knit team, support young learners using AAC devices, and make a lasting impact.

Position Overview:

• Serving K2 students in an adaptive classroom

• Small group setting: 68 students

• Most students communicate using AAC devices

• Supported by 3 additional team members in the room

• Full-time schedule: 30 hours/week

• Onsite position for the full 20252026 academic year

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver customized instruction aligned with IEP goals

• Support students' communication needs using AAC

• Work collaboratively with classroom aides and staff

• Maintain an engaging and inclusive learning space

Qualifications:

• Active NC Special Education teaching license

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or similar field

• Comfort working with AAC or willingness to learn
