Job DescriptionPosition: Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of HearingRate: $55/hourRequirements:
<ul>
<li>Valid PA Teaching Certification - Hearing Impaired (required)</li>
<li>Fluency in American Sign Language (preferred)</li>
<li>Current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Provide direct service to eligible students to support educational attainment and successful communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing</li>
<li>Writing IEPs and communication plans</li>
<li>Collaborating with educational audiologists and school staff regarding amplification in the daily routine</li>
<li>Coordinating with the school, other service providers, families, and school district personnel to meet the needs of each individual learner, providing the best care, safety, welfare, and security of students</li>
