eBOARDsolutions, Inc., a subsidiary of the Georgia School Boards Association and leader in board management software, is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer. At eBOARDsolutions, our mission is helping boards lead and govern effectively and operate efficiently and our customers tell us were really good at it. Our SaaS board management software, Simbli, helps boards automate and simplify everyday tasks through software that facilitates paperless meetings, strategic planning, policy management, board evaluations, document management, and communications.
The DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the growth and reliability of our Microsoft Azure-based cloud infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for designing and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance environments, while championing automation and best practices across our development and operations teams. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring and security.
WHAT YOULL DO AS A DEVOPS ENGINEER:
- Design, build, and manage Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure and services to support development, QA, and production environments.
- Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Manage and monitor Azure resources including AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, VMs, and storage.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Dynatrace.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable application deployments.
- Apply cloud security best practices using Microsoft Defender for the Cloud, Imperva, and Carbon Black.
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, cost, and resilience.
- Document infrastructure and operational procedures to support compliance and continuity.
- Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation steps to prevent recurrence.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and its core services.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD automation.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Proficient in scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Comfortable using source control systems such as Git.
- 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure role.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Dynatrace.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Background in software development or scripting with Python.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Imperva WAF and security hardening techniques.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools to assess and improve system performance and user experience.
