Position Summary:
The Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day support of God’s Pantry Food Bank technology. This position will ensure that technical issues are resolved efficiently to enable God’s Pantry Food Bank staff to effectively perform their job duties.
Essential Duties/Functions:
· Serves as first point of contact for technical requests and tasks.
· Installs and maintains all desktop and laptop computers and components (hardware and software).
· Initiates and follows through on service calls for computer support, application support, and computer-related equipment.
· Trains staff in the use of common applications and utilities.
· Helps to develop and document organizational standard operating procedures.
· Create and maintain digital forms for the organization.
· Collaborate with the IT manager on complex and organization wide initiatives.
· For issues beyond scope of expertise, coordinates with IT Manager or external vendors for assistance.
· Other Duties as assigned.
Network Administration
· Oversees and troubleshoots network file, print, application, and database servers.
· Monitors use and status of shared network drives.
· Monitors daily activity for all critical systems and raises concerns to appropriate staff.
· Ensures all printers, copiers, and fax machines are operational, properly supplied, and provide basic repairs and support.
· Maintain networking equipment and troubleshoot network connection issues.
Manage User Accounts and IT Equipment
· Administer new user accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, and permission sets to new employees.
· Creates and maintains an up-to-date inventory of all IT equipment, software, and infrastructure.
· Develops and executes replacement schedule for all company computers.
· Oversee company phone system and make additions/changes as required.
· Maintains and monitors security system, access control system, and security camera systems.
Education/Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems preferred.
· A combination of education and/or demonstrated information technology work experience may substitute for a degree.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
· Must hold valid driver’s license.
· Have the ability to drive long distances.
· Open to working evenings or weekends, as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Hourly rate $26 / hour or more for related experience
