Lead Platform Engineer (Hybrid NY/NJ)
About the Role:
Join a leading team in automation and AI/ML, transforming risk management. We seek an innovative Platform Engineer (with extensive front end and back end skills) to develop large-scale applications using data engineering, machine learning, and cloud services.
The Team:
Work with a world-class AI ML team, including experts in AI & ML, ML engineers, and data science and data engineering teams. Drive our AI-driven transformation to deliver value internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of a generative AI platform / applications
- Act as a hands-on developer and architect for AI-driven applications.
- Ensure full stack development for AI products, including batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams on the Enterprise AI platform.
- Manage scalable and reliable platform infrastructure for AI, ML, GenAI, and LLM products.
- Develop, integrate, and test scalable APIs.
- Maintain monitoring systems for model performance, data quality, and infrastructure health.
- Ensure smooth integration of machine learning models into production systems.
- Implement security measures and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster their professional growth.
- Maintain documentation and architecture blueprints.
- Adhere to standards, governance, and best practices in ML pipeline and model monitoring.
Experience Required:
- Backend experience with API's
- Significant hands-on development experience in integrating, evaluating, deploying, operationalizing scalable full-stack and web-application solutions (with significant experience with front-end technologies such as React, Vue or Angular JS) and APIs at speed and scale, including integration with enterprise applications and APIs.
- Significant experience with front end is key, it is not optional. And therefore, both backend APIs development and front-end development experience is mandatory.
- Candidates do NOT have to have MLE background, but they must have a strong full stack (backend and frontend) and having some exposure to ML is good to have.
Preferred:
- Experience with deep learning and LLM solutions.
- Contributions to Github and open source initiatives.
This role is hybrid and will require being in the NY or NJ offices, The position will pay up to $220k + bonus + benefits
