We are currently seeking a qualified candidate with the required skill set and experience for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our clients in the utilities industry. This position is hybrid, based in Philadelphia, PA, with the potential for extension.
Key Details:
- Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid no remote options available)
- Duration: Long-term contract with possible extension
- Work Authorization: W2 candidates only (no C2C or 1099)
Note: Local candidates are strongly preferred due to the hybrid work arrangement.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer with 5 plus years of experience in developing and designing customized applications using SharePoint Online technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the SharePoint application development lifecycle, strong architecture and implementation skills, and hands-on experience with tools like SPFx, Microsoft Flow, Power Automate, and Office 365 services. This role requires both strategic and hands-on development capabilities, including collaboration with business users to build user-friendly, responsive, and secure SharePoint-based solutions. The candidate should be able to work independently, manage upgrades, and lead solution delivery aligned with business needs.
Key Requirements:
- 59 years of relevant experience in SharePoint Online application development and customization
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, lifecycle planning, and deployment
- Hands-on experience with SPFx (SharePoint Framework) for custom development
- Proficiency in Office 365 tools, Power Automate, Microsoft Flow, and integration of SharePoint services (search, metadata, user profiles)
- Experience building responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, NodeJS, NPM, JavaScript, jQuery, and TypeScript (a plus)
- Ability to design and implement custom applications to solve business needs, using APIs when necessary
- Familiarity with tools like SharePoint Designer, Workflow Manager, InfoPath, Visual Studio, Sharegate, and Metalogix
- Strong background in web part applications, workflow development, and online forms
- Proven skills in object-oriented programming (preferably .NET)
- Ability to train users, support content management, and adjust SharePoint solutions to meet evolving business needs
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, change management, and application security best practices
- Experience working independently to manage site maintenance, upgrades, and performance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
