Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team in Menlo Park, California. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of complex legal matters while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment. The position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence two days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Provide attorneys with support in family law cases, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, property division, and marital agreements.
• Maintain and organize client records in electronic formats, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Conduct legal research, manage attorney calendars, monitor court deadlines, and act as a point of contact between clients and attorneys.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, forms, and discovery materials, as well as coordinate court filings and process serving.
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation by creating pleadings, trial notes, and exhibit binders.
• Compile and serve discovery requests and responses in a timely manner.
• Arrange and oversee the preparation of materials for hearings, mediation sessions, and settlement conferences.
• Ensure compliance with local court rules and deadlines while managing administrative tasks efficiently.• A minimum of three years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal is required.
• Familiarity with high-asset cases and knowledge of local court procedures is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is essential.
• Experience with Dropbox and software applications for legal form preparation is advantageous.
• Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
• Exceptional editing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while managing deadlines with precision.
