Job Summary:

Petrotech, Inc is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of pneumatic tubing, electronic and electrical instruments, and devices. This role requires a thorough understanding of instrument drawings, P&IDs, and industry standards to ensure the successful implementation of instrumentation in various systems.

Essential Duties:

Interpret instrument drawings and P&IDs to determine the work scope, required equipment, and tools necessary for assigned tasks.

Install single line and group tubing and fittings with precision.

Collaborate with piping systems to ensure proper installation of instrumentation for effective system control and monitoring.

Layout, measure, fabricate, and install tubing trays according to specifications.

Install various instruments and instrument stands with accuracy.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of pneumatic and electronic systems.

Bend tubing out of rack according to specifications, including sizes of ½” and 3/8” along with other various sizes.

Recognize and mitigate safety hazards present in the work environment.

Conduct work in accordance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems, maintaining a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.

Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.

Proficiency in understanding schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications required by clients.

Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to follow directions from supervisors and effectively respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry practices and technologies.
