Job Summary:
We are seeking a .NET Developer responsible for the development, programming, and coding of IT solutions across the full software development lifecycle. The role involves gathering business requirements, system modeling, coding, performance testing, and supporting both internally developed applications and third-party solutions. Developers are also responsible for ensuring that IT controls are properly implemented to protect application data and system integrity.
Essential Functions:
- Produce clean, scalable code using .NET languages (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET)
- Upgrade, configure, debug, and maintain existing systems
- Provide technical support for web, desktop, and/or mobile applications
- Participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with teams to design software architecture
- Test, deploy, and improve applications and systems
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code as needed
- Develop documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical support resource
Requirements:
- Strong experience with .NET development (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET)
- Unit testing, release procedures, coding design, and change management expertise
- Proficient with version control systems (GIT, SVN, Mercurial, etc.)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage tasks independently, adapt to changes, and work as part of a team
- In-depth understanding of the SDLC
- Proficiency with:
- Object-oriented programming (.NET, ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML)
- Database systems (SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Debugging tools (Advanced Debugger, AQtime, etc.)
- Standard desktop tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Visio)
- Experience working with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
- High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions aligned with business strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Various domain experience (e.g., Healthcare, Financial Services)
- Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
- Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud-native development
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in technical design and coding
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
