Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Test Center Administrator to oversee operations at a testing facility in South Portland, Maine. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and smooth execution of web-based certification and credentialing exams. This is a long-term contract position offering a stable and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist test-takers as they check in, verifying identification and ensuring compliance with test center policies.
• Conduct security checks to confirm test-takers do not bring unauthorized materials, such as calculators or notes, into the testing area.
• Monitor the testing room at regular intervals, ensuring adherence to rules and maintaining a distraction-free environment.
• Perform light administrative tasks, including managing records and organizing test materials.
• Provide guidance to test-takers on using web-based platforms and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Ensure the testing environment remains organized, clean, and conducive to concentration.
• Walk through the testing center every 10-15 minutes to observe activity and address any concerns.
• Use computer applications and software to uphold test center standards and document necessary information.• At least 1 year of experience in administrative, office assistant, or customer service roles.
• Proficiency in using computer applications and web-based systems.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with test-takers and colleagues.
• Ability to stay mobile, with frequent walking and movement required throughout the day.
• Familiarity with identity verification processes and security protocols.
• Comfortable working in a structured environment with a focus on rules and compliance.
