Location: Corporate HQ – Cerritos, CA

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Position Summary

Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is looking to fill the role of a Telematics Operator as we continue to grow our Safety team. This is a fast-paced role with the opportunity for professional growth. The Telematics Operator is responsible for remotely monitoring our various sites and facilities companywide in order to ensure the safety and security of the company's assets. Our operators utilize various surveillance monitoring software to monitor the cameras, identify potential breaches or unauthorized access, and respond to alerts and emergency situations in a timely manner. The Telematics Operator also plays a role in developing and implementing surveillance protocols and procedures, maintaining accurate records of incidents, and regularly reviewing surveillance camera footage to identify potential risks or vulnerabilities. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in technology and computer skills, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential for success in this position. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor surveillance cameras for potential breaches or unauthorized access
  • Monitor the company's facilities and assets to ensure their safety and security
  • Utilize a variety of surveillance monitoring software to view and control surveillance cameras
  • Respond to surveillance alerts and emergency situations in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all surveillance incidents and actions taken
  • Assist with the development and implementation of surveillance protocols and procedures
  • Regularly review surveillance camera footage and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities
  • Handle Customer Service driver support calls
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in computer and technology skills, including experience with general surveillance monitoring software
  • Ability to focus and maintain attention to multiple sites throughout the entirety of a shift
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with Windows 11 operating system and multiple monitor setups
  • English/Spanish bilingual highly preferred


Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Occasional travel may be required


Compensation

The Telematics Operator position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $22 to $24, dependent on experience and qualifications.
