Summary

First Baptist Child Development Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to teach in our amazing, child focused, toddler, preschool school-aged gymnastics program. If you can teach a cartwheel, chase bubbles, make funny faces, play hide and seek AND care about core strength, bilateral coordination and motor planning, we would love to meet you! We are looking for candidates with prior gymnastics experience and preferably, prior coaching or teaching experience. If you love gymnastics, have teaching or coaching experience, are dynamic and impactful AND are 100% responsible and professional, we have an amazing opportunity for you! Salary based off of previous experience education.

Duties

• We are looking for someone to work 8-hours a week instructing children ages 2 - 11 in age appropriate gymnastic activities
• The coach would work with each age group/classroom for 20 - 30 minutes.
• The coach needs previous experience with young children through school-aged.
• Teach developmentally appropriate gymnastics skills .
• Provide a safe and productive learning environment.
• Engage with students in outwardly positive, incredibly dynamic ways.
• Interact with parents in positive, encouraging and friendly ways.
• Be helpful, hard working, intuitive and influential.

Requirements

• Child development experts or people studying child development are encouraged to apply.
• We are looking for incredibly animated, outgoing, positive, really fun teachers.
• Previous experience as a gymnastics coach or in a related field (e.g., tumbling, acrobatics, aerial arts, cheerleading, dance, teaching physical education).
• Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety practices.
• Experience working with preschool athletes of various skills.
• Skillful in behavior management and the ability to be kind and fun while still managing a safe and productive class.
• A true desire and concern for being a positive role model and source of inspiration to students.
• Must pass Background check
• High School Diploma
